Somatic Tennis  •  Reiki Energy Work • Somatic Movement

Restoration  •  Nervous System Reset  •  Embodied Expression

WELCOME

A space for your body to let go, your nervous system to reset, and return to a natural state of ease.

Many of us carry a constant level of tension and low-grade anxiety in the body - 0ver time, it becomes normal.  It doesn't always feel easy to fully relax, feel settled, or be at ease.

I use Reiki and body-based energy work to help your system settle and shift into a deeply relaxed, regulated state - so your body can let go, reset, and return to a more natural way of being.

Many clients notice a shift right away.  It seems like the first thing people say as they get off the table is how relaxed they feel - how amazing, how good, how different they feel.

I usually receive calls and texts afterward saying the same thing. Over time, with some consistency, that becomes their new baseline.

About the Work

I am a certified Reiki practitioner with over twenty years of experience exploring and practicing energy-based approaches to healing and well-being.

Over the years, my work has been deeply informed by studies in somatic movement practices, including yoga, qigong, the Alexander Technique, the Feldenkrais Method, breathwork, and other body awareness disciplines. These practices share a common focus on presence, balance, and the body’s innate capacity to restore itself when given the right conditions.

My background in somatic movement—which also informs my work in Somatic Tennis — contributes to how I approach energy sessions. In both movement and healing work, the goal is the same: helping the body rediscover a sense of ease, balance, and natural coordination.

A PERSONAL BEGINNING

My interest in energy work began the first time I received a session myself. I remember being surprised that something so subtle could have such a profound effect. The gentle presence of the hands and the quiet atmosphere created an immediate sense of safety and relaxation.

During that session I entered a deeply restful state—almost deeper than sleep—where the body seemed to release layers of tension. I experienced waves of warmth and sensation moving through my body, and at times even perceived colors and impressions of light moving through areas that needed attention. The experience left me feeling deeply calm, clear, and restored.

That moment sparked a long journey of study and practice that continues to inform the work I offer today.

MY APPROACH

In some sessions, depending on the needs of the person, we may begin with a few minutes of gentle somatic movement or simple breath awareness. This can take place either on the treatment table or on a yoga mat.

These subtle movements help bring awareness to areas of tension or holding in the body and support the nervous system in settling before the Reiki work begins. Incorporating intelligent movement and gentle breathwork often helps open pathways of sensation and circulation, allowing the body to receive the energy work more fully.

By preparing the body in this way, many people find they are able to relax more deeply and experience a greater sense of flow, ease, and integration during the session.

SESSIONS

Reiki is a gentle energy practice typically offered with light hands-on contact or with the hands positioned just above the body. Sessions take place with the recipient fully clothed while resting comfortably on a treatment table in a quiet and supportive environment.

Each session is individually tailored to the needs and goals of the person receiving the work.

Some people come seeking deep relaxation and stress relief. Others are interested in nervous system regulation, support for physical recovery, improved mobility, or simply a greater sense of ease and connection in their body.

SESSIONS MAY SUPPORT:

• deep relaxation and stress reduction
• nervous system regulation
• recovery from physical activity or sports
• improved mobility and body awareness
• relief from tension and fatigue
• emotional balance and clarity
• a greater sense of overall well-being

The work is gentle and non-invasive, and many people experience sensations of warmth, calm, or subtle energetic movement during a session as the body settles into a more balanced and receptive state.

Many clients find that regular sessions help them not only feel better physically, but also improve their resilience, outlook, and overall quality of life.
